Melanie Mintz’s Broadway, Pre-Broadway and Off-Broadway plays include:  BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS (current); musicals include BEI MEIR BISTU SCHOEN (a celebration of the family based on her Grandfather’s iconic canon of songs), A HOT MINUTE (a celebration of the music industry’s back-up singers directed and choreographed by WICKED’S Wayne Cilento), JUST ONCE (a 60’s adaptation of Emily Bronte’s WUTHERING HEIGHTS featuring the multiple Grammy Award winning songs of music giants Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil), GALAXY 999 (the Mitsubishi Organization’s celebration of immortality and musical addition to the pantheon of internationally uber successful mangas), DARLENE LOVE-PORTRAIT OF A SINGER (award-winning director and choreographer Lynn Taylor Corbett’s celebration of arguably the greatest R&B singer in the universe), A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR YOU (New York’s celebration of Phil Spector’s multi-million-platinum Christmas Album starring Ronnie Spector, Darlene Love and Sonny Bono as Mr. Spector) and LEADER OF THE PACK (the now world-famous celebration of the life, music and times of Ellie Greenwich, the project that re-invented the Broadway musical by creating the undeniably lucrative genre now known as the Juke Box Musical). During the rehearsal process of each of the above productions, Miss Mintz was surrounded by a coterie of geniuses including CBS-TV’s Paul Shaffer, Tony Award-winning and Oscar-nominated Marc Shaiman, Conan O’Brien’s Band Leader Jimmy Vivino and Allan Pepper the revered entrepreneur and owner of the world-famous temple of music THE BOTTOM LINE.   Her film development history includes THE WAVERLYS (Walt Disney Productions/Alan Menken, Producer), TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE (Howard Gottfried Productions), THE MATTER OF LIFE (Howard Gottfried Productions), POWER (Steven Haft Productions), WELCOME HOME (Troma Productions) and THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER (Troma Productions).  Her Television credits include AS THE WORLD TURNS, KNOTS LANDING, LOVING FRIENDS AND PERFECT COUPLES (Lorimar Productions), HIS MUSIC MAKES ME DANCE (PBS-TV’s acclaimed documentary on Jacques D’Amboise), and HBO’s award-winning HEAD SHOT. She has written and is currently writing several film and television projects for Allan Pepper, Tom Fontana, Don Scardino, Stan Brooks and Robert Harmon.  Most recently Ms. Mintz served as Dramaturge for the current New York Times best sellers - Robert Parker's KILLING ME SOFTLY: Robert Parker's FOOL ME TWICE and Robert Parker's DAMED IF YOU DO.

Currently she is a member of the creative team shepherding, building, and producing the highly anticipated documentary on The Bottom Line’s 30-year musical reign from the center of the universe, Greenwich Village.
